Yiyuan Sichuan Cuisine Restaurant
Decorated in a traditional Chinese style with wooden chairs and tables and elegant ceiling fans adding to the comfort and charm, this Sichuan restaurant serves food in Sichuan style (Spicy) which is very popular in Guilin. Guilin food is often also spicy. Yi Yuan has two restaurants in Guilin. As it got good recommendations from “The Lonely Planet Guide” you may meet other foreigners there, too. Try the chili water boiled beef (Shuizhu Niurou), spicy chicken feet (Mala Fengzhua), and crispy fish with sweet and sour sauce (Tangcu Cuipiyu). Great appetizers and snacks are available as well. Yiyuan Restaurant also serves up a rare delight, lemon flavored baijiu (rice wine). Generally speaking, baijiu doesn't agree with the western palate, but this version is guaranteed to please.
