Train - Guilin Transporttation
The two stations--Guilin Railway Station (South Station) and Guilin North Railway Station (North Station)--are the two main railroad passenger transport stations in Guilin. Every day many trains arrive and depart, as Guilin City is the railroad hub of Central China and is in the central part of the Hunan-Guangxi Railway Line.
Tips: It's not easy to buy sleeper tickets at the Guilin sales office, as the city is a mid-route stop rather than a terminus. Therefore, it's best to make reservations five days in advance or even ten days in advance during China's golden weeks. The booking service fee is CNY20 to CNY50 per ticket.
Bus - Guilin Transportation
There are three bus stations: the Chief Bus Station, the Chengnan Bus Station and the Beimen Bus Station. The Chief Bus Station is at No.427 Zhongshan Road (South), just a 10 minutes' walk from the Guilin Railway Station (South Station).

Taxis - Guilin Transportation
Starting(minimum) fare in the daytime(6:30 a.m.---11p.m.): 7 yuan/ 2 kilometers; 1.6/per kilometer after the first two and within 4 kilometers; 2/ per kilometer after 4 kilometers.
Starting(minimum) fare at night(11 p.m.---6:30 a.m. next day): 7.8 yuan/2 kilometers, 1.8/ per kilometer after the first two and within 4 kilometers; 2.4/ per kilometer after 4 kilometers. No fare will be charged during the waiting period.
Bikes- Guilin Transportation
Renting a bike to travel in the city is another good idea, since cycling with your friends and wandering around the tranquil landscapes would be a memorable experience. Bicycles can be rented at hotels throughout Guilin and at many cafes and hostels in Yangshuo for a maximum of 15-20 yuan in Guilin (a deposit of around 200 yuan could be required) and 10 yuan in Yangshuo.
Buses- Guilin Transportation
As Guilin is a relatively mature tourist city, it is in possession of a very convenient and efficient city tourist transit system, which includes free city buses, free special tourism buses and cheap comfortable ordinary buses.
