Yangshuo Park

Yangshuo Park is in the western part of the town, and is where Man Hill(Xilang Shan) is found. It is said to resemble a young man bowing and scraping to a shy young girl represented by Lady Hill(xiaogu shan). Other hills nearby are named after animals: Crab Hill, Swan Hill, Dragon Head Hill and the like.
You can climb up to the little Pagoda that looks out over Yangshuo Market by finding the set of steps up the back of the mountain in the Yangshuo Park. These do get steep at the top so take care, especially when it is wet. You will regret not taking water and a camera.
Many locals head here to meet with friends and chat in the relative cool of the shade. Others come to take part in gentle local recreations such as bowls, tai'chi and cards. Many students gather here, and often like to practice their English with willing visitors.
How to get Yangshuo Park
